Add Variety – The vitamins and minerals that our bodies need naturally come from the food we eat, specifically fruits and vegetables. Eating a variety of fruits and vegetables in a multitude of colours will help ensure that you are getting the variety of nutrients that you need. Fruits contain a lot of antioxidants – blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, sweet cherries. Vegetables to focus on are dark green leafy ones and anything bright and colourful. Vegetables support your immune system and give you energy and provide you with great minerals and vitamins, and fibre. Consume 7 servings of vegetables per day and 3 servings of fruit.
