Featured Recipe: Quick Hummus
Here’s another great & healthy recipe from Healthy Eating Active Living. Hummus is quick and easy to make, so why buy it when you can make it fresh in under 5 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 can Organic chickpeas (save about 1/4 cup of the liquid)
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Tahini (sesame seed butter)
- 1-2 gloves garlic
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 tsp salt
Rinse chickpeas well, but save some of the liquid
Mix all ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth, Use water to achieve desired consistency. Use as a spread or dip on your favourite crackers (Mary’s Wheat Free) or vegetables.
