Thank you ‘Art of Living’

Tick, tick, tick. We interrupt your regularly scheduled holiday revelry for an important reality check. When it’s all over you may have a regret or two. Giveaway, Healthy Holiday Reality
Or not. Especially with a little help. Like from a book like Finding Your Fit: A Compassionate Trainer’s Guide to Making Fitness a Lifelong Habit by Kathleen Trotter.
Compassionate Trainer??? I like the sound of that! And I have an extra copy to send to one lucky reader!

What appealed to me about this book was its unusual focus. Although it includes some sample exercise routines, the focus is more on motivation. Things like:

  • Understand that you have power
  • Find opportunities to be positive
  • Reframe setbacks
  • Have a personal mantra prepared

Count me in! I skimmed it now—and plan a full read before January 1. Gonna start my New Year’s Resolutions positioned for success!

Motivation is key to starting any healthy habit (and thankfully habit does eventually take over). That’s why I do things like join a CSA (weekly box of veggies = eat more veggies). Why a friend and I are “weight watching buddies” to make sure we aren’t gaining (ahem, much) weight over the holidays. And why I am excited to find more good advice in Finding Your Fit!

And now the giveaway for one paperback copy of Finding Your Fit! Sponsored by the publisher, it is open to US residents and closes December 18, at midnight CST. To enter, leave a comment below telling me how you are trying to live healthier. For a second entry, follow Art of Natural Living on Pinterest and leave a second comment below letting me know you are a follower. The winner will be picked randomly, contacted by email and have 24 hours to get back to me with mailing information or a new winner will be chosen.
