This year I composed “12 tips to survive the holidays” for The Globe and Mail. Eight of the tips are Stealth Exercises. The exercises will be posted online. I will post the link when it is up. 4 of the tips are “mindfulness tips”. The mindfulness tips will not be posted online which is unfortunate — they are what I am most proud of. So, I took a photo of the tips in the physical paper. This is the mindfulness tip from December 15th, 2015.
A Gratitude Moment“An important part of being mindful is being grateful for what one has, instead of focusing on perceived hardships, obligations and things we don’t have. Too often people think of exercise and movement as a chore. An obligation, something they “have to do.” This December, when you don’t want to exercise, take a mindfulness moment; pause and be grateful that you can move. Movement is a privilege. Go for a walk or a bike ride and enjoy the world around you.”
