The stats show that by now, roughly 80% of us have reverted back to our pre-January 1st lifestyle. Now, I know that would never be you!! As a dedicated recipient of this newsletter, I am sure you are always completely on your health horse … BUT I am thinking you might have friends who need my help, so this newsletter is for their eyes. In all seriousness, we all fall off our health horse sometimes.

When you do, remind yourself of this quote from the great golfer Ben Hogan: “The most important shot in golf is the next one.”

Sure, we might not all be golfers, but adopting a healthier lifestyle requires learning how not to be consumed by the past and the future, and instead to act on the only moment we have direct control over — this moment!!! Do something NOW/TODAY that will make your future self proud. Go for a walk, do a balance exercise, drink some water.

If you have fallen off your “New Year’s health horse,” course correct today — the most important “shot” or choice in your health journey is the next one, because that is THE ONLY CHOICE you have direct control over. You can’t control the past (you can only learn from it), AND the only way to control the future is through THIS MOMENT.

So, make this moment count!
