Weight training is necessary for everyone!

As Christmas approaches the gift buying crunch has officially begun.

Looking for some ideas for the fitness or wellness junky in your life? Well, I’ve got the answers, and for every price point too!

Equipment

If you’re looking to help build your loved one’s home gym why not check out these PowerBlocks! These weights are adjustable so they can be used for a number of different exercises and collapse together to be stored in even the tiniest condos. Strength training is important for everyone so there is no doubt your fitness buff will love these weights!

For those on your list who have wanderlust in their heart and working-out on their mind why not gift them resistance bands! These bands make a great inexpensive gift (think $15-30) and can bring the gym to any hotel room. They’re multi-purpose and super packable so they make working out on the road a breeze.

Clothing

We’re all adults here, we can finally admit that receiving clothes for Christmas is amazing! And I can’t think of a better gift for the Athleisure lover on your list than some more gym-ready outfits. Some of my favourite pieces are from Alo but you can always find out your friend’s favourite brand with a little sleuthing and grab them a great new pair of leggings or a tank!

For the scholarly athlete on your list why not give them the gift of knowledge? There are some great books out there to help build their healthy lifestyle, why not check out something from Brené Brown, The Mindful Athlete by George Mumford or maybe even my book Your Future Fittest Self by Kathleen Trotter.
