Today we are doing the single arm farmer’s march. It’s a little tweek of the farmer’s carry in which you walk while a carrying something heavy while trying to keep your posture. I like this exercise as it gives you more of an opportunity to look at your form.

To begin, look in a mirror to see what your natural posture is. For most of us we have one shoulder that is lower than the other. See where you bias. Does your left hip jut out? Your right shoulder lower?

Bend over and pick up your weight. Continue looking in the mirror and raise one knee up and slowly march in place. While you raise each leg make sure you keep your shoulders straight. Repeat 8 times.

Once you feel like you can do this easily progress to the farmer’s carry.

Enjoy!
