Tired of spending $3 on a bottle of sugar water with some funky florescent colour? HEAL shared with us a way to make your own! This recipe is simple to make, tastes great, is cost effective and fuels your body for your endurance training session of 90 minutes or longer, or your intensity workouts.

Ingredients:

1 lemon, squeezed fresh

1 lime, squeezed fresh

3 tbsp maple syrup or 2 tbsp honey

1/8 tsp sea salt

750 mL water

Method:

Partially fill a large 1L water bottle with water, add lemon, lime, honey and sea salt. Shake well. Enjoy approximately 500-800mL of water per hour of exercise. Don’t like lemon/lime flavour, then try a squeeze of orange.
