Shamrock Smoothie

Healthy Eating Active Living shared with us this scrumptious green treat. Celebrate this past St Patrick’s Day the healthy way. Pick up a different green drink with this new smoothie, all the while helping with your vitamin, mineral, fibre and antioxidant count.

Ingredients

  • 2 limes fresh squeezed or peeled
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 heaping tbsp Chlorella
  • 1/2 English cucumber
  • 4 cups green kale de-stemed (spinach or romaine will do if you don’t have any kale)
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 ” fresh ginger
    1 scoop of your favourite protein powder such as Progressive VegEssential

Instructions

Layer in a blender and puree until smooth
