Shamrock Smoothie
Healthy Eating Active Living shared with us this scrumptious green treat. Celebrate this past St Patrick’s Day the healthy way. Pick up a different green drink with this new smoothie, all the while helping with your vitamin, mineral, fibre and antioxidant count.
Ingredients
- 2 limes fresh squeezed or peeled
- 3 cups water
- 1 heaping tbsp Chlorella
- 1/2 English cucumber
- 4 cups green kale de-stemed (spinach or romaine will do if you don’t have any kale)
- 1 cup green grapes
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 ” fresh ginger
1 scoop of your favourite protein powder such as Progressive VegEssential
Instructions
Layer in a blender and puree until smooth
